Rehab | Services & Facilities

About YC Joo

YC Joo is the chairman of Quit Gambling Club (QGC) a sub group of Guerrilla Gamblers Club (GGC). He had offered to help anyone with a gambling problem. He will meet you to chat, advise or counsel. YC would study people who posted on GGC at lowyat forum and facebook. He will try to identify those who need help and act accordingly.

YC is our man with heart of gold who works on a volunteer basis. He has no personal benefits or derive any monetary returns should a person with irresponsible gambling habits (rotten gambler) gets reformed. He would get a high if that happens. It is the same high that you and I would get if you managed to be of help to someone.

Other than this high, what keeps YC going at it? It is his compassion for the people who were suffering from within with a few people who can understand. He has been there. Yes, YC himself was an ex rotten gambler. He overcame his problem and now he wants to help those who had walked his miserable old path.

The Rehab Facilities

The rehab is run by a Christian Group. Its centre is in Bandar Tasik Selatan. It has the appearance of an office and equipped with a lecture hall. Classes will be conducted on Mondays for those who are not hard core yet. The non hard cores are people who still have a roof over their heads, not hunted by loan shark, etc.

The center had hostels in Seremban, Johore and a few other places. It is there to help those who have trouble with family or loan sharks or just need to cool down. These places are restricted. Once you are in, you will be there for 3 months to undergo rehabilitation.

GGC’s Advise

We seriously recommend those who think they have had enough of his/her gambling habits to go with YC to register with the rehab. Join a few classes and see. It will bring many things to your realization as these class modules were written by ex rotten gamblers. There is no harm to try it out. It is better than to continue suffering in silence.

If loss of face is keeping your away, there is no need to worry. Rotten gamblers come from all walks of life. YC had seen 60 year old uncles who lost their business, aunties who played only rm 0.20 per point in mahjong but end up owing thousands of ringgit, aunties who were brought there by their children, 20 something kids were brought there by their parents, big businessmen who drives Estima and the list can go on and on. Please, there is NO SHAME at all to admit that you had a gambling problem. Just go there to seek help.

If you have any enquiries at all, do call YC Joo at 016 5185 765 or whyseej00@gmail.com.

  1. Some picture would be nice. Maybe that is confidential so that loan sharks don't go there looking for people.

Actually the course is about 3 months but after that you can attend some event organize by the rehab. Is actually to spend your free time on the event rather than you thinking of how much you win but never think of how much you bring trouble to your family..cheers...
