Betting shops invade Chinatown in London. From the recent bad publicity created by these outlets, Chinese businesses are moving out due to their presence.
After covering Fixed Odds Betting Terminal (FOBT) for some time, Xingcai finally commented on their exorbitant minimum bet of £100. Here in Malaysia's only resort class casino, the minimum bet is RM50. At peak hours minimum bet will be raised to RM100. £100 will give approximately RM500. For casinos in other parts of the world, it may to 5-10 times the minimum bet.
Looking at the pictures of these betting shops, I believe their comps is nothing to shout about. At the very least they would have a coffee dispenser. Junk food is likely but perishables like sandwich should be out of the question unless it is house at an adjacent bar. I would just look at the betting shops in UK and cry ... "RIP OFF!"
