This quote originated from a member claiming he wants to quit gambling each time he loses. The irony was his losses were not catastrophic. Having said it too many times without taking the necessary action, he became the boy who cried wolf. Each time he said he wants to quit gambling, he will be ridicule by other members. Members finally call him the great pretender. Fed up of being labelled as the pretender he finally said, “I say I want, not necessary mean I can...”

The addiction of gambling is strong. You want to stop gambling but you may not have the will power to do it. You don't need huge losses to stop. You may just be tired of it after awhile but you just can't walk away from the table.

The best application for this is on the table. I want to make a twin towers with pineapple chips not necessary mean I can. Setting high goals is very destructive.

This quote originated from one of our gatherings. One of the members was very depressed. He talked about how miserable life had been to him then said “Seriously I can die anytime. You just tell me when you want me to die and I will die.” Everyone responded in unison, “Go and die, now”. The miserable member said, “of course now cannot”.

Hall of Fame | LockON

Using winnings from Genting, LockOn built enough capital to start his own business. He has an uncanny ability to get 80% accuracy in baccarat. Whenever LockON goes uphill members would make an effort to join him to follow his bets. After many requests LockON finally share his methods for baccarat.

My method if betting is quite simple. There are only two things I will go for - streak or d/d(ding dong). Mostly I go for streak. Before I bet I already plan 2-3 steps ahead what would I bet if what comes out. My capital is always 3k. If kana sapu by tiger I will leave. No more no less. Actually to win 7k-10k is not a hard thing for me lar but hard thing is running away with that amount. My tactics is always the same. Flat bet 200-300 per bet test power. If beginning got luck > martingale. If beginning give eaten > flat bet gain confidence. Like rm100 per bet until recover. Martingale is needed to push hard and fast when the luck comes. Don’t need martingale much just usually 3 steps then follow by flat betting is already more than enough. 300/600/1200 ---> 3 step martingale > > > follow by 500 per bet. IF streak goes pass 5-6 step = earnings = 300+600+1200 + 500 + 500 + 500 = 3600. But usually as per my experience the streak normally stop at 3 or 4. That is why my martingale is usually 2-3 step then will flat bet. Only use martingale when you are winning never use martingale when losing. From my experience when losing flat bet is needed to recover confidence and modale. I have so many times lose until rm 500 flat bet rm100 all the way to recover and eventually winning 5-7k. To maintain bankroll is important. Never ever think that your bank account still have money so I bet big even if lose I can take from bank or fast fast recover, i can say 9 out of 10 times money will fly. Hall of Fame | Unker LDC

Unker Ldc (facebook id) or LANduChai (lowyat forum id) made GGC’s hall of fame for building twin towers with black chips (one black chip has the value of RM100). He made two stacks of black chip that were both knee’s height. When asked to share his thoughts, he said,

Initially Unker Ldc made only one stack in the toilet to take a picture of it. He was not able to do it as it keeps toppling over. He gave up trying when one chip fell in the toilet bowl. He tried to recover it but it was in vain. Then he constructed twin towers.

Newbie’s Hangout | Games to Play

With so many games in the casino, newbie had a hard time deciding which game to start with. Understanding house edge is the first place to start before deciding which game to play. House edge is like surcharged paid to the casino to play a game. Yes, it is not free of charge to play at casino. Games are design to collect this surcharge from you without you realizing. Casino can’t be rendering their services for free. They have overheads and payroll to look into.

Roulette
This game is highly recommended because it has the least house edge. For even money bets half the numbers are red and half the numbers are black. Zero is green. It is neither black nor red. This is the house edge. It is the small advantage the casino had over you. The same goes for betting on odds or even. Zero is neither odd nor even. Zero is neither for 1-18 (low/small) nor 19-36 (high/big).

It does not have to be complicated. Beginners should start with even money bets. Once you get the hang of it try the dozen or column bets. These bets pay double. When you are familiar go for the inside bets. Start with line bets and move your way to single bets. Check the roulette tutorial if you are loss. After hitting the inside bets you will know enough about this game to design your own system.

Baccarat
If you like cards games go for baccarat. Among all the card games, baccarat has the least house edge. If you look up the rules for baccarat you will know that banker has higher chances of winning. It is not 55% but you will be paid 95% if you win on a wager with banker. This is the little house edge that you pay. However it does not apply to wager on player. Player bets are even money. The 95% payout on banker is known as commission baccarat. In a non commission baccarat wagers on banker gets paid even money however if banker wins with a score of 6 only half of what was waged is paid.

Tai Sai
Tai Sai has the highest house edge for their even money bets. Outcome of dice will range from 3 - 18. “Wai Sek” is a situation where all three dice have the same number (111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666). Should Wai Sek occurs even money bets are forfeited. Comparing with roulette, Tai Sai had a huge house edge. In roulette you have 37 numbers but only one number (0) that forfeits even money bets. Tai Sai has 6 outcomes that will kill even money bets. How much should I bet per hand? This is the most common question from a newbie. The most common answer is, “bet a small amount just for fun to try out your luck”. The Guerrilla Gamblers Club (GGC) would not recommend it. In the Ways of the Guerrillas, we do not bet for fun and will refrain from luck testing bets.

Betting for fun will always remain as fun. You will not experience the problems associated with betting for extra pocket money to take home. If you have not acquired this experience, you will not look for ways to improve yourself. For this reason GGC is against betting for fun. It is a waste of time.

Luck testing bets is another time waster. Assume that all bets are even money bets as beginner usually starts with these bets. If you have average luck that day, you will end up with losses being greater than wins by a small margin. Even if losses were to exceed wins by one, it is still a net loss. With the best scenario for average luck, you get the same amount of wins and losses. It will still end up a loosing session because of house edge.

For GGC bet size is base on your income. Set aside a certain percentage of your income for gambling. It had to be an amount that will not affect your livelihood. It should not be too small that you derive no satisfaction when you have won money which you consider peanuts. Once this money is lost wait for the next paycheck and try again.

Your bet size will be determined by how many hands you intend to play. A simple division will give you the bet size per hand. If you do not know how many hands you wish to play, start with five. Adjust it with trail and error as you go along and you will know how many chances you need to make each session a winning session. If you win spend it. Unless you get rewarded you will not be motivated to gamble for extra pocket money.

Newbie's Hangout | Baccarat Tutorials

Baccarat is a very popular game in Asia. Unlike most other card games, it is not betting your hand against the banker. You may bet on Banker or Player. It’s similar to a ball game in which you can bet on either one of the teams to win. The picture below shows the layout of the betting table mini baccarat.

The numbers 1 to 7 indicates a maximum of 7 participants for the table. Bets on Player wins, are place on the blue section. Bets for Banker win are place on the red section. Bets for Player Pair are place on the long semi arc section on the left. Bets for Banker Pair are place on the long semi arc section on the right. Bets for a Tie Game are place on the long semi arc section on the center.

All cards from 2 to 9 are counted at face value and an Ace is counted as 1. Picture cards (Kings, Queens and Jacks) and tens have a value of 0. The rules for counting the score is to subtract by ten each time the sum of the value of the cards exceed 10. The score will be 3 if the cards had a face value of 6 and 7. The sum of 6 and 7 is 13. Being greater than 10, 13 is subtracted by 10 to get 3. If the subsequent card has a value of 9, the score is 2. The sum of 3 and 9 is 12. A subtraction of 10 from 12 to get 2. Base on this counting method the highest score is 9 and the lowest is 0.

The first card is dealt to the Player and it alternates with Banker. If the first two cards on either side has a score of 8 or 9 (the two highest scores), it is call a natural win. In a natural wins both side will not draw the third card.

In the absence of a natural win, Player draws the third card with a score of 5 or less. Banker will stand at 7 regardless of Player score. If Player stands, Banker will stand with a score of 6. Other rules concerning the drawing of the Banker’s are as tabulated below.

Yes, YC himself was an ex rotten gambler. He overcame his problem and now he wants to help those who had walked his miserable old path.

The Rehab Facilities

The rehab is run by a Christian Group. Its centre is in Bandar Tasik Selatan. It has the appearance of an office and equipped with a lecture hall. Classes will be conducted on Mondays for those who are not hard core yet. The non hard cores are people who still have a roof over their heads, not hunted by loan shark, etc.

The center had hostels in Seremban, Johore and a few other places. It is there to help those who have trouble with family or loan sharks or just need to cool down. These places are restricted. Once you are in, you will be there for 3 months to undergo rehabilitation.

GGC’s Advise

We seriously recommend those who think they have had enough of his/her gambling habits to go with YC to register with the rehab. Join a few classes and see. It will bring many things to your realization as these class modules were written by ex rotten gamblers. There is no harm to try it out. It is better than to continue suffering in silence.

If loss of face is keeping your away, there is no need to worry. Rotten gamblers come from all walks of life. YC had seen 60 year old uncles who lost their business, aunties who played only rm 0.20 per point in mahjong but end up owing thousands of ringgit, aunties who were brought there by their children, 20 something kids were brought there by their parents, big businessmen who drives Estima and the list can go on and on. Terminologies Used By Guerrilla Gamblers Club Members

Army/Soldiers - Your capital/bankroll

Banggala - Baccarat
Betting/Battle/Work Stations - Semi- computerised gambling machines. These differ from RNG games in that human croupiers deal the games, with betting machines that are linked to a server and a central area where the game is conducted manually. Results of the game are then entered into the server and winning bets paid accordingly based on the results of the game.
Big Ear Hole - Loan Sharks (direct translation from chinese)
BR - "Battle Report". A detailed story or summary of your gambling session. See "Notes on BR" below.

Choppy/Ding Dong - The opposite of streak
CSM - "Continuous Shuffling Machine". Cards are placed back into the shuffling machine after each game. The cards will be reused for the next game. It is possible that the same card can appear again and again.
CT - An abbreviation for "Cyber Tiger". It refers to online gambling facilities. see Tiger and Roadside CT

DS - "Depleting Shoe". Cards amount to X number of decks (usually 6 or 8 decks) are placed into a box (shoe). Cards used are not reused therefore the shoe is depleting with each game dealt.

NN/Nen Nen Chip - "Non-Negotiable Chip". Casino chips that cannot be exchanged into cash, can only be used to place bets. Winnings will be paid in cash chips.

Pineapple - A single chip with the value of RM5,000. The chip is yellow with green strips (the /font of pineapple).
Puasa/Fasting - Abstain from gambling for a period of time.

RNG - "Random Number Generator". Many CT games operates by this system in that the outcomes are randomly generated by the computer.
Roadside/Local CT - Gambling outlets operating under the guise of internet cafes see Tiger and CT
Rollover - A common Terms and Conditions use by CT that requires the cumulative bets to be more than or equal to the deposit made in order to make withdrawals.
